This is a chance to purchase an absolutely brilliant motorhome. Now our grandchildren are older and no longer travel with us we no longer need a sixth berth so we are changing our Arapaho for a smaller model. As a result, you have the chance to buy ours for £39,950, which is around half the price of the equivalent new one at today’s pri2es. A motorhome of this quality and in this condition would not go out of a dealer’s showroom for less than £55,000.
The Auto-Trail Arapaho is the ultimate in Luxury it is a fantastic motorhome. With 6 berths it is perfect for a family trip with enough space for everyone to be comfortable but not so large that it’s difficult to handle. All the fixtures and fittings are made to a very high standard and because it is based on a well proven Fiat Ducato you know the engine and chassis will be good as well.
The motorhome is in super condition and has only 28,000 miles on the clock. It is powered by a superb Fiat 3 litre 160 bhp engine and a 6 speed manual gearbox. When we first bought the Arapaho we looked for a motorhome that could sleep six people and had six seat belts as we wanted to take our grandchildren away with us. We also wanted a powerful but economical engine and a vehicle that could take a large payload as well as plenty of internal living space. A potential motorhome for us had to tick all these boxes before we would view and this specification was and is not easy to find take a look yourself. The Auto-Trail Frontier Arapaho really is just a dream to drive powerful and yet economical (we average 25 mpg). Reversing is made extremely easy with the Arapaho’s large screen reversing camera. It is also extremely spacious and both comfortable to sleep and holiday in.
The Arapaho’s emphasis is on a great (English) layout. The sleeping configuration is U shaped; the large rear lounge can be converted to either two single beds or one massive double bed. There is a double bed over the cab and the forward lounge/dinette area also converts into a double bed. Our Arapaho features separate shower, cassette toilet and sink, TV and DVD combo, great cooking facilities, it has a full sized oven, grill and hob (gas and electric hob) a fridge with separate freezer. Central heating by gas/electric fire and really comfortable driver & passenger seats. The motorhome is from a non-smoking environment. We are the second owners of the vehicle, we purchased it from a dealer where it was used as a demonstrator.
With independent reports of 95mph on German autobahns, as well as 25mpg, it is a great combination of fast cruising speed when you need it and excellent economy when you don’t.
